Balhyo is unique in Korea - not quite oolong, black, or puerh - since each producer has their own technique and preference for tea leaf grade (spring, summer, fall). We've categorized this Balhyo as black for its oxidation level and taste. Sejak-grade green tea leaves are expertly oxidized and allowed to bask in the sun to wither before being carefully dried, granting a cocoa nuance that pairs excellently with a pungent aroma and gentle tannins. Boasting a lower caffeine content than traditional black teas, Balhyo offers a delightfully soothing brew.
