东方美人 "Oriental Beauty"
Dong Fan Mei Ren is a highly oxidized oolong (70-80%) with a mesmerizing muscatel aroma and sweet floral/fruity taste. The oxidation level is nearly at the threshold of black tea and highlights the beautiful tannins of the blended hybrid oolong cultivars used in this unique version made in Fujian. The overabundance of flavor and astringency is created by the defensive reaction of the plant when bitten by tea jassid. This natural occurrence is required to create a true Oriental Beauty. The sweet taste, floral aroma, and golden amber hue are the trademarks of this tea.
